pavenham village bedfordshire
Pavenham is a great little village, located just a few miles outside of Bedford.
Here is a Pavenham village related forum that i have created.
Pavenham was also voted village of the year in 2004.
Every year Pavenham village holds an open garden day, where the villagers can enter their gardens.
This year in 2009 there were 26 gardens open, there was a classic car collection, and local plant and produce sale.

Pavenham bedfordshire
Hi well pavenham is a nice little village in Bedfordshire just outside bedford.
I live there with my girlfriend and just love this place.
Unfortunatly pavenham has no shop or post office anymore, long gone before we moved here .
Mobile phone coverage is quite poor in the village, its ok while outside , but once inside the cottage things are not so good.
As a relult of that we now use pmr446 radios for dogwalking etc. (ch7)
Tesco will deliver to pavenham so its not like food shopping is a big problem.
Sainsbury is about a ten min drive away , and there is a shop in oakly thats not too far away.
The road through poavenham is gritted quite well in the winter, but as there is not a lot of through traffic , a 4x4 helps if it really snows hard.
There is a bus servicec but its a little hit and miss at the moment, in my opinion you need a car to live here.
As me and Elaine recently found out when our car broke down.
The winter months are interesting here as at the momnent there is no street lighting, everyone has a torch . :o)
As im a bit of a sky watcher there are some really great views of the sky during winter , as there is very little light pollution.
If you have a telescope you will just love it here....

Since moving to pavenham i have really warmed to village life, the people are very friendly, and there are some really good plus points to living here.
Just down the road is the park and pavenham golf course, plus the river is only a very short walk from our place.

Pavenham neighbourhood watch, have posted an alert aparently there has been a burglary in the village this happened on 11 of sept 2009.
The alert was posted through our door two days ago, i wont put the name of the property on here but as the letter states please keep an eye out for anything unusual.
I for one will be glad when whoever is involved gets caught.
I will put the Neighbourhood watch phone number on here later tonight.
